Omar Castañeda is a Colombian artist based in London for 10 years now. His work involves different aspects about society, history and food. Most of his artworks are made with food or food derived materials. Omar works in the Thames Barrier Print Studio, near Greenwich, making several screen printings.
Since I was a baby and my father encouraged me to take that road.
What do you think is your role in contemporary art?
Nowadays it’s difficult to think about artist roles in contemporary art, I guess only history would say it at the end what I did and how important my role was .
