El pasado 31 de Agosto me acerqué a la inauguración de la artista koreana HaYoung Kim en la galería londinense Hoxton Art Gallery.
On the 31th of August I went to the opening of the Korean artist HaYoung Kim‘s exhibition in Hoxton Art Gallery in London.
HaYoung Kim se graduó el año pasado (2011) en la Royal Academy
Tras ganar el importante premio de Jerwood visual arts en 2010 y la residencia Vytlacil AIR de New York, ha conseguido muy buenas críticas a nivel internacional. Su carrera está empezando, pero ya son bastantes los expertos que le auguran una brillante trayectoria artística. Es el caso de la comisaria de esta individual en la galería de Hoxton; Lara Wardle, especialista en arte británico del siglo XX.
HaYoung Kim graduated last year (2011) at the Royal Academy. After winning Jerwood Visual Arts‘ top award in 2010 and the residency program AIR Vytlacil in New York, she has gotten rave reviews internationally. Her career is just starting but many experts predict a bright future for her. This is the case of the curator of this solo exhibition; Lara Wardle, specialist in 20th century British art. (más…)

Omar Castañeda and the Panela project
Omar Castañeda (Bogotá 1978) is a controversial Colombian artist who has been studying at London’s St. Martins University for the past two years. His latest work, which also serves as his graduation thesis, is in display in St. Martin’s main building in Charing Cross Road until the 5th of September and speaks about the Panela.
Omar is an artist extremely committed to the local culture of several countries, exposing their socio-political issues. (más…)
